Next Gen Active CIC is a community-driven initiative that promotes physical activity, health, and well-being among young people and families in the Dudley area. We recognise our communities’ challenges, from health disparities and economic limitations to a lack of accessible, engaging physical activity programmes. Through martial arts and diverse sports activities, we provide young people with a pathway to fitness, self-confidence, and lifelong active habits.
We aim to bridge the gap for families who may feel disconnected from traditional fitness services, offering inclusive, affordable programs that help children and families build resilience, stay active, and foster social connections. By focusing on the underserved areas in Dudley, we are working to bring health equity to communities in need, ensuring every child has the chance to thrive, no matter their background.
Our Leadership

Alan Bagley – Founder
Next Gen Active CIC was founded by Sifu Alan Bagley, a passionate advocate for community health and youth development. With a background in Wing Chun martial arts and extensive experience in youth programming, Alan established this CIC to bring the transformative benefits of movement to young people and families across Dudley. Committed to creating meaningful, lasting change, he leads a team that fosters health, discipline, and community through innovative, accessible programming.
With our team’s collective expertise and commitment, we’re dedicated to helping the next generation lead healthier, more connected lives—one movement at a time.

Mark Handy – Director, Next Gen Active
Brought up in Warley, West Midlands, and now living in Halesowen, I’ve always valued the importance of community. As a Tender Contracts and Compliance Manager in the PPE industry, I bring experience in governance, social value, and process management.
My expertise ensures that Next Gen Active runs efficiently and effectively, driving initiatives that create meaningful and lasting change. I am passionate about supporting projects that strengthen communities and make a real difference.
My involvement in the SMBC Knife Angel T-shirt competition reinforced my belief in the power of local, community-driven initiatives.
I am dedicated to ensuring our work is impactful and sustainable, contributing to a better future. Outside of work and community involvement, I’m a father, enjoy Wing Chun, playing golf, and watching football, and am an avid Aston Villa fan.

Kevin Webb – Director, Next Gen Active
Hi, I am Kevin Webb. I have lived in the Black Country and am married with one son. I recently retired after selling my engineering business as a former managing director.
I swam, taught and coached children and adults to national competition standards. My martial arts journey has included Aikido for 30+ years, Thai Boxing and Wing Chun Kung Fu. I hold a nationally recognised teaching certification for Aikido and, for many years, taught children’s classes and covered adult classes as required.
Through Aikido, I have also travelled extensively worldwide to experience the art in other countries.
Next Gen Active gives me the chance to reach other members of the public in the hope that they can experience something different that they can enjoy and grow with.
