Our Mission

At Next Gen Active CIC, our mission is to drive transformative health and wellness opportunities for young people and families across Dudley and its surrounding communities.

In a region where health disparities remain significant—with over 26% of children aged 10–11 classified as obese and an above-average unemployment rate of 5.3%—we are dedicated to bridging these gaps through movement, martial arts, and inclusive sports programmes that build healthier, more resilient futures.

Recognising the urgent need for accessible physical activity in areas of considerable deprivation, we integrate disciplines such as martial arts, football, and holiday activity programmes. These initiatives empower participants to build confidence, improve physical health, and establish lifelong active habits. Rooted in the belief that every child deserves equal access to wellness, our focus extends to Dudley’s most vulnerable populations, including families in St. Thomas’s, Upper Gornal, and Kates Hill.

By collaborating with local schools, community organisations, and Dudley Council, we create fun, affordable, and accessible pathways to movement that foster strength, discipline, and community connection.

In our commitment to holistic development, we have expanded our initiatives to include youth mentoring, leadership skills development, and programmes in arts and music. Through mentorship, we guide young individuals in building resilience and self-esteem, preparing them to become the future leaders of our community.

Our leadership programmes cultivate essential skills—such as communication, teamwork, and decision-making—equipping youth to navigate life’s challenges effectively. Additionally, by incorporating arts and music, we offer creative outlets that nurture self-expression, cultural appreciation, and emotional well-being.

Our vision is clear: a healthier, more equitable future where every child, regardless of background, can thrive physically, mentally, and socially.

Our Core Values

At Next Gen Active CIC, our core values underscore our commitment to fostering a healthier, more inclusive community through physical activity and personal growth.

Inclusion
Everyone, regardless of background or ability, deserves access to the benefits of physical activity. Our programmes are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, ensuring that young people from all walks of life can participate, grow, and feel valued. Whether through specialised initiatives for vulnerable groups or accessible family events, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for all.

Community Health
Health is at the heart of everything we do. One of our top priorities is addressing regional health disparities and the challenges of limited access to fitness resources. Through our diverse range of activities and workshops, we aim to combat issues like childhood obesity, physical inactivity, and social isolation. Investing in community health today is paving the way for a more resilient future.

Youth Development
We are passionate about supporting the holistic growth of young people—physically, emotionally, and socially. Our programmes foster resilience, confidence, and teamwork, providing youth the tools to navigate life’s challenges and develop lifelong healthy habits. We empower children and teens to become well-rounded individuals and future leaders through martial arts, team sports, wellness workshops, mentorship, leadership, and creative arts initiatives.
